Announcement: Air Quality Updates

Update 11/18/18

Thank you for your ongoing patience as we continue to navigate Air Quality challenges.

I am continuing to montior AQI, and remain in communication with the Stanislaus County Office of Education. Great Valley Academy Schools continue to follow recommendations set forth by the Public Health Officer, as are other K-12 public schools within Stanislaus County.

As it currently stands, we will remain open on Monday and Tuesday of this week, and will remain on a rainy day schedule.  We will have masks available for those requesting them, beginning sometime late morning on Monday.

We continue to focus on safety for students and staff, and provision of academic instruction for our students.  If you feel the need to keep your student home on Monday or Tuesday due to Air Quality concerns, we will consider it an excused absence.

Thank you again for your support as we navigate this uncharted territory.

Sincerely,
Leah M. Silvestre, MBA
